A recent install of innovative curved desks for our client resulted in a new crisp clean line look for their offices in the Midlands.

Choose from bow-fronted, D-ended, radius, crescent, wave, kidney or 120 degress workstations in a wide choice of MFC and Veneer finishes.

Its all change with implementation of the new Construction Design Management Regulations which come into force from April 2015.

Our Project Management Team are already fully up to date with the changes coming through having attending Regulation update courses and can brief you fully to ensure all project works undertaken are fully compliant.

Our kiwi Site Supervisor Keith Tallett is off on extensive travels to Australia, he will be a very much missed part of the Team during the new few weeks but be assured our usual high service standards will not be interrupted.

This is the trip of a lifetime for Keith and during his travels he has quite an array of exciting exploits planned – which includes bungee jumping! – watch this space for more news.

Innovative Projects

2013 Year End Project Success

Mission Workplace undertook a range of Project from September to December which included prestigious fit out of offices for Rogers Leask Civil and Structural Engineers and Catesby Property Services - full case studies to follow shortly.

The Mission Group also undertook a challenging fast track Mezzanine Installation comprising a 20 week complex supply and installation programme to include Building Control Regulations and full Construction Design Management regulation.Installation handover on time and within budget to our very pleased client

Contract success

The Mission Interiors Group have completed a number of high profile projects in the first quarter of 2013, including refurbishment projects for Serco in Birmingham and London, a new Head Office for Pricemark in Birmingham, Staff Toilet Area Refurbishment for LSC and a number of projects for St Modwen.

New Academy for Birmingham Metropolitan College.........

Mission Workplace were delighted to provide a selection of contemporary furniture to the stunning new “Piano” Building in the centre of Kidderminster.
The Piano building is a new Academy for Birmingham Metropolitan College which opens on the 17th September.  The project is another example of our ability to provide innovative and exciting solutions to the higher education sector.

Mission Workplace recently commenced a complete interiors concept project for the LSC Group with target completion early April.

Mission has now worked with LSC on a number of successful projects and we are pleased to be working along side their project team once again to provide a completely new “Wow” factor design concept.

April 2013 – In this issue Mission Workplace want to focus on the Changing Workplace, and how understanding Contemporary working practises can help drive Business Productivity.

Modern Technology and mobility outside the workplace have changed the way in which we conduct business. The landscape of our workspaces has increasingly been drawn towards providing shared areas which offer flexibility, and can be used for both formal and informal scenarios.

To support this flexibility modular seating has been designed now to provide ease of reconfiguration. Meetings can be held with adegree of privacy by the use of Acoustic Panels being added to the sofa to facilitate this. Power units can be added to allow for Lap Tops and Tablets to be utilised.

July 2012 – In this issue: LSC Group offices transformed into modern high class working environment.

In just six weeks, Mission Workplace completed a stylish new working environment for the LSC Group, incorporating; modern glazed offices with new ‘bench style’ desking.

The New office facility supports the work process that LSC operates and is an impressive facility providing a “wow factor” for its clients and visitors.

Mission were involved in taking initial ideas from concept to reality providing for 50+ staff in an open plan office and also creating high tech meeting rooms.

Close consultation with the LSC team helped to scope out the requirements and develop bespoke hot desking and touch down pods. Project managing the work from start to finish Mission Workplace provided a seamless transition enabling the client to sit back and relax with only colour choices to worry about!.

March 2012 – In this issue: Innovative Workplace transforms Birmingham Metropolitan College

Mission Workplace is proud to have recently completed a visually stunning Professional Development Department incorporating Learning pods and an “E Bar”.

The Project which took eight weeks to complete includes state-of-the-art learning, teaching and staff areas, a new entrance lobby and an outdoor area suitable for college functions.

The staff learning lounge has a combination of meeting spaces, soft seating and an “E-Bar” which houses technology but aesthetically appears to float. To create this effect, the “E Bar” was designed with no obviously visable means of support.

Riba Awarded ‘A Guide to Office Acoustics’ recently launched by the AIS provides a well structured comprehensive guide to best practice in the design and installation of acoustic solutions.

The starting point for the document was a lack of comprehensive guidance in office acoustics, so in 2009 AIS commissioned a review of available research in office acoustics by Bridget Shield, professor of acoustics in the faculty of engineering, science and the built environment at London South Bank University.

Hive itself is a series of modular pieces which come together in numerous formations. Simply created with a few pieces, the results allow you to create a working space within the environment you have, whether this be smaller “pods” or larger configurations.
